It is often debated whether Sachin is the best batsman in the world as it is 'said' that he has not taken India to many victories or rather India has not won enough matches when he has scored a century. He is a selfish player and someone who plays for number's sake. I thought of doing my research on such claims and the following post is just a representation of numbers and what they speak. I have left it for the reader's judgement on how to interpret them.
Here is a brief summary of his career in ODIs and Test Matches
Mat | Inns | NO | Runs | HS | Ave | 100 | 50 | |
Tests | 199 | 328 | 33 | 15847 | 248* | 53.71 | 51 | 67 |
ODIs | 463 | 452 | 41 | 18426 | 200* | 44.83 | 49 | 96 |

People who blatantly speak out their minds will now have some statistics to back up their claims. For me.. I am a die hard Sachin fan. Have grown up watching him and will miss him a lot.. Dont give a damn about numbers. That is for you !!! **source - espncricinfo, wikipedia |
